William Edward Glass, Jr.

William Edward Glass, Jr., 70 Years of age, of Delmont, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. He was born on August 4, 1952, in Pittsburgh, PA.  He was preceded by his parents, William and Delores (Kelley) Glass.  William is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Margaret MacIntyre Glass and his son, William (Renee) Glass, III of Harrison City, PA; Two Grandsons, Liam Glass & Cohen Glass; Sister, Alice (Rob) Walls of Maine and Brother, Gary Glass; several nieces and nephews, and a wealth of family and friends. To his family he was many things: son, father, brother, uncle, and Pappy.  To his friends he was “Big Bill”, a nickname he earned growing up in the East Liberty area of Pittsburgh. He dutifully served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War before meeting the love of his life and becoming an amazingly dedicated father. An avid fisherman and golfer he always enjoyed spending time outdoors and with those he loved. He was an inspiration and always provided an encouraging word. He was a friend to many and was well loved in return. Finally at peace, his memory will live forever in our hearts. We love you, Pappy. Friends will be received for a memorial visitation at Bash-Nied-Jobe Funeral Home, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont (724-468-8381) on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, 5:00-7:00 pm with a memorial service immediately following visitation. Private interment will be at Twin Valley Cemetery.
