Age 75 of Plum, formerly of Churchill, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, which was his 52nd wedding anniversary to his beloved wife, the late Tanya (McMannis) Bernard. He was the loving father "Papa Bear" of William T. Bernard, Tammy S. (Charlie) Aikins, and Brandi M. (Heather Champion) Bernard. Proud grandfather of William Bernard, and Tyler and Carson Aikins. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Dorothy Mary Bernard; parents, William A. and Mary (Berta) Bernard, Sr.; siblings, Florence, Robert, Thomas, and June; and six grandchildren in heaven.
Bill was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Local #9 for 50 years. He was an avid gambler and loved passing on his knowledge to his children. Bill could often be found sitting outside people watching while drinking a hot cup of coffee.
