Walter Lach, Jr.
age 92, of Penn Twp. passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Walter was born on August 15, 1928 in Toledo, OH to Walter and Ada (Pickutowski) Lach. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Laura J. (Tucker) Lach, a daughter, Kathleen F. Lach, and a brother, Donald (late wife, Patricia) Lach. He is survived by two children, Karen L. (husband, Dwayne F.) Smith of Mamont and Edward A. (wife, Laurie) Lach of Penn Township; five grandchildren, Lyndsay J. (husband, Steven) Ritter, Matthew D. Smith, Derrick A. Smith, Edward D. (wife, Tiffany) Lach, and Nicolas A. (wife, Chantel) Lach; one great grandchild, Josephine Ritter; and one brother, James (wife, Marge) Lach. Walter was a WWII Navy Veteran and a 30+ year employee in the printing division of  Westinghouse in Trafford and Pittsburgh. He loved camping/fishing with his children when his family was young and was a lifetime avid golfer. Friends will be received Thursday 3-7 PM at the Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City (724-744-2721). Services followed by military honors will be held at Friday, 10:30 am at Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church in Murrysville with Rev. Curtis Paul officiating.  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment will be private.  Per CDC guidelines, masks are required, and social distancing will be observed.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children, Mission Advancement Office, 135 Clelian Heights School, Greensburg, PA 15601-6665 or online at Clelianheights.org.
