Age 91 of Turtle Creek, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Nancy A. (Craig) Jordan. Loving father of James F. (Karen) Jordan, Thomas A. Jordan, Jr., and Nancy Jo (Rick) Schroeder. Proud grandfather of Alexandra (Mike) Jordan, Alena (Kyle) Wilson, Thomas (Heather) Jordan, Craig (Ondrea) Jordan, Sarah (Joe) Parker, Katie (Brad) Minnigh, and Steven (Cherice) Schroeder; and great-grandfather of Caleb, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Jordan, Teagan, Liam, Grant, Charlotte, Gavin, Gabriel, Gideon, Elizabeth, and Kirk. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Francis R. and Edna C. (Richards) Jordan; brothers, Fran, Edward, and George Jordan; and sisters, Dolores Hamilton and Margaret Carl.
Thomas honorably served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Following his military service, he began working for Westinghouse as a core builder, where he retired after nearly 30 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed keeping busy as a crossing guard for Woodland Hills School District for 20 years. Tom loved being outdoors and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1 p.m. at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2225 Grandview Avenue, Monroeville, PA 15146. Burial will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, time to be determined. Arrangements entrusted to the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., Turtle Creek (412-823-1950).
