Thomas E. Grubach, Sr., 95, of Slickville, died peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. He was born on October 31, 1925 in Slickville, to the late Thomas E. and Mary (Cacilo) Grubach. Tom served in the US Air Force in World War II in the 347th Bomb Squad, and during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, and retired from West Penn Power as an accountant for many years. Tom was a longtime member of St. Sylvester Roman Catholic Church, and was an avid golfer and walker. He is survived by his four loving children, Thomas M. Grubach, Jr., Robert P. Grubach, Diana L. (Jeff Piovesan) Reed, and Susan (John) Aaron; six grandchildren, Amber, Marjorie, Ariel, Kaylee (Mason), Marissa, and Emily; three great-granddaughters, Sadie, Ava, and Reyna; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Dorothy Rehak Grubach; a granddaughter, Jessie Aaron; and four siblings. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday, June 10 at Bash-Nied-Jobe Funeral Home, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont (724-468-8381), where a blessing service will take place at 10 AM on Friday, June 11.
