Shirley R. (Robinson) Williams, age 89, of Monroeville, formerly of Kane, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. She was born in Jordanville, NY on December 5, 1931. She was the daughter of Alden M. Robinson and Mary L. Robinson. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Withrope A. Robinson; husband, William E. Williams; and son, Charles A. Williams. She is survived by two sons, Steven E. Williams, of Pittsburgh and Scott A. (Debra) Williams, of Monroeville. She has two grandchildren, Tasha Alese (Matthew Joseph) Williams-Capalongo and Tyler Adam Williams; and five great-grandchildren, Cameron Joseph Capalongo, Cassidy Joy Capalongo, Christianna Jade Capalongo, Charlotte Jo Capalongo and Brooklyn Rae Williams. On August 27, 1949 Shirley married William E. Williams at Saint Callistus Roman Catholic Church in Kane, Pennsylvania. From then on, a wonderful and adventurous marriage evolved. The couple moved numerous times all over the World with Bill's career, but primarily lived in Bethel Park, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh. In 1983 they retired to Kane and began an exciting new chapter of their lives, which included extensive traveling throughout the United States of America. Shirley was an avid reader, sewer, card player, cross-stitcher and homemaker. She was a staunch Catholic, and member of the Republican Party. Shirley's sense of humor was one of her greatest attributes. Love of her home was only surpassed by the deep devotion, love and respect she had for her adoring husband, Bill, with whom she was deeply in-love until her passing day. Family and friends will be received Friday from 6-8 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747), where a blessing service will be held Friday at 7:30 pm. Interment will be held Monday at 12:00 PM at St. Callistus Cemetery in Kane, PA.
