Ronald J. Sinchar, Sr., 83, of Penn Township, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital. Sinch was born on March 8, 1940 in McKeesport, a son of the late John and Margaret (Samudovsky) Sinchar. He served his country in the US Navy and worked as a kettleman for many years at Westinghouse/Ranbar. He was a proud and active member of Harrison City VFD, and a member and former club steward of Harrison City Fireman's Social Club. Sinch was an outgoing person who loved helping people. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, and playing his lottery tickets. He is survived by his daughter, Tonya (late Leith) Barrett; five grandchildren, Marissa (Rich), Andrew, MaKenna, Zack, and Josh; cherished great-granddaughter, Kati; three brothers, Gerald (Carol), Gregory (Bernadette), and Mark Sinchar; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeannine Sinchar; two sons, Ronald Jr. and Kenneth Sinchar; and a brother, Lawrence Sinchar. Friends will be received Thursday, March 23 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721, where a Blessing Service will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, March 24.
