Ronald  Warren  Painter "Pap"

age 92, of Delmont, formerly of Washington Twp. passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022. He was born on July 8, 1929 in Export, PA to the late Allen and Mabel (Branthoover) Painter. Ronald is survived by his daughter, Ronna Jean Yeager of Delmont; three grandchildren, Timothy Kevin Yeager, Kelly Yeager (husband, Daniel) Bumbalough, and Samantha Dawn (fiance, Adam Walker) Yeager; one great-grandchild, Laurel Rae Bumbalough; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Pap is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Naomi Jean (Silvis) Painter; and three brothers, Harold Vincent (living spouse, Evelyn Wolfe) Painter, Richard Clair (the late Miriam Geiger) Painter, and baby Gerald Painter. Pap was a corporal in the Army during the Korean Conflict and then worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for fifteen years. He then started Painter Bros. with his siblings specializing in roofing and painting. His nephews eventually joined the business which is still operating today. Pap belonged to the Salem Lutheran Church since the early 1960s and loved visiting the shut ins from the church. He loved going out to restaurants and enjoyed spending time with his daughter and grandchildren, especially in Ohio and Tennessee. Pap was an avid walker, hiker, gardener and farmer that loved the Lord. He, along with his daughter, performed sing-a-longs at the Ark Manor Personal Care Home and William Penn Care Center. Friends will be received Friday, January 21, 2022, 3-7 PM at Bash-Nied-Jobe Funeral Home, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont (724-468-8381). Funeral services followed by a Presentation of Military Honors will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, 10 AM at Salem Lutheran Church in Delmont with Pastor Kara Propst officiating. Everyone please go directly to the church. Per the family's request, masks will be required for the visitation and service. Interment will be private.
