Ronald W. DeMarchi

Ronald W. DeMarchi, age 77, formerly of Claridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Ron was born January 24, 1943 in Jeannette, a son of the late William M. and Virginia Mae (Zackel) DeMarchi. Ron had many joys in life including watching Pittsburgh sports teams, bowling, dancing, dining out and just being around people. He was a joyous and lovable person who would greet everyone by reaching out and kissing their hand. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Jeffrey, and numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his brother William and his wife Cheryl, and their daughter Gabrielle; sister-in-law, Becky Yost and her husband Tim; his nephew Stephen and his wife Megan, and their children Carmelina, Juliana, and Vincent; along with numerous cousins. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Passavant Memorial Homes, Westmoreland Case Management, and the ARC of Westmoreland for their guidance and support of Ron during the last 36+ years. Also, a special thank you to all his caregivers, including those from Timber Ridge, West Point, McKeesport, and Cedar Street, all of whom extended to Ron their love, compassion, and support during his time with them. Finally, his hospice nurses, whose commitment allowed Ron to leave this world in a quiet, peaceful, pain-free manner. Due to Covid 19, there will be no visitation and services will be private.
