Ronald J. Cotyk Sr.

Ronald J. Cotyk, Sr., age 87, of Penn Hills, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Forbes Hospital. Beloved husband of 64 years to Hazel M. (Hess) Cotyk; loving father of Ronald J. (Beth) Cotyk, Jr. and Suella M. Himes; cherished grandfather of Jasmine (Andrew) Patton, Sierra (Matthew) Dawson, Miles Himes and Remington Himes; caring great-grandfather of Hunter, Addison, Parker, Presley and Oakley Patton, and Celine and Ethan Dawson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ella (Cole) Cotyk. Ronald was a proud Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. He was an active member of Monroeville United Methodist Church and was a member of their golf club. He was an avid Steelers fan, loved spending time at Panera with his group of friends, and was a loving, kind person who had a strong faith. Most importantly he was a devoted family man who was an excellent caretaker to his wife. Friends and family will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950), where a private funeral service will be held. Please be advised that masks will be required upon entry and visitation will be limited to 20 people at a time. Private interment will be held at Restland Memorial Park.
