Robert "Bob" H. Leax
Age 66, of Monroeville, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side after a two year battle with ALS. Beloved husband of Barbara (Pugliano) Leax. Loving father of Jesse Robert (wife, Megan) Leax and Jason William Leax; adored grandfather of August, Phineas, and Ezra Kathleen Leax; brother of Jane Anne (husband, Robert) Taylor, James Henry Leax Jr., and Margaret Ellen (late husband, Edward) Fisher; also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, James Henry and Ellen Jane Leax. Bob was the co-owner of the Davis Fetch Corporation, a family business located in Wilkinsburg, that he had been a part of for over 50 years. He was a longtime member of Edgewood Country Club where he was able to play his two passions of golf and paddle. Bob was also a member and former president of Theta Chi Fraternity at IUP and loved going on his golf trips, keeping ongoing college friendships cemented or renewed. He was always involved in his children's sports, having volunteered for many of them. Bob will always be remembered for his kindness, optimism and love of a good time. Friends will be received Thursday, August 11, 6-8 PM & Friday, August 12, 3-7 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Mass of Christian Burial at St. Colman Church-St. Joseph the Worker Parish Saturday, August 13, 10 AM. Everyone please meet at the church. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
