Rita Marie (DePonte) Oblak

Rita Marie Oblak, 93, of Jeannette, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023. She was born on June 21, 1930 and was a daughter of the late Augostino and Margaret (Salvatore) DePonte. Rita was the last living of her brothers and sister, the late Angelo and Terry De Ponte and Levia Castine. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Rita was very proud of her time being a waitress, especially serving her loyal customers at Fontana's before she retired in 1990. For 20 years, she lovingly knitted preemie booties to be donated to local Pittsburgh hospitals. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Church in Jeannette. There will be no public services. Interment will be private in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park with her late beloved husband, Robert Oblak.
