Regis Clinton Rose, 73, of Pittsburgh, departed peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2023. He was the devoted husband of Karen Rose, with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage.
He was born on August 20, 1949, to the late William Thomas Rose, Sr. and the late Bernadette (Morris) Rose.
A diligent man, Regis worked for the City of Pittsburgh for 48 years in Waste Management before retiring—even receiving the Mayor Sophie Masloff Employee of the Month Award by Mayor Bill Peduto in 2018 for his hard work.
As the MacGyver of the family, he cared deeply for his loved ones and would always be there to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed watching the Steelers and the Pirates, cooking out, relaxing on the porch, and making everyone laugh with his jokes.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two loving children: his son, Regis Thomas Rose, and his daughter, Kimberly Marie Rose; caring grandfather of Tiarra McGinnis; cherished brother of William Thomas Rose, Jr., Bernadette Monroe, Harry Rose, Melvyn Rose, and Veronica Flournoy (William); and loved by several nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Rose, and his sister, Gloria Greene.
Friends will be received Wednesday, May 10, 2023, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950), where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm. www.jobefuneralhome.com.
