Ralph Edward Leister

Ralph “Eddie” Edward Leister, age 76 of Rector, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Monroeville Rehab and Wellness Center. He was born on June 11, 1945 to Ralph and Pauline (Hays) Leister. He married Maggie McGuire Soisson in 1993. Eddie was honorably discharged from the US Army after his service in Vietnam. He then worked as an Over-the-Road truck driver and trainer primarily with J.B. Hunt, Amoco, and as an independent driver for more than 40 years. Ralph is survived by his brother, Ronald Leister and sister, Janice McAchren as well as loving nephews, stepdaughters, and their families. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Maggie.  An interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, with military honors on October 8, 2021 at 11:00 am.
