Peter Francis Flaherty, IV

At the age of 21, Peter Francis Flaherty, passed away in his hometown of Monroeville on July 28, 2021 from complications of Type 1 Diabetes. At the age of 11, Peter was diagnosed with Diabetes and did an outstanding job battling it for the next 10 years to follow. He was well known for his love of sports and being a talented athlete who was a 3 sport varsity letterman, graduating from Gateway High School with the class of 2018. Peter attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown shortly after where he would complete his Freshman year of college, continuing on at Pikes Peak Community College. Peter will be awarded his Associates Degree, August 2021, posthumously. Beloved son of Peter Francis Flaherty III, and Tammi Wymard. Loving brother of Jack Flaherty. Also survived by his paternal grandmother, Nancy (husband Paul) Beck; Michael Wymard; and maternal grandfather, Buddy Graham. Preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Donna Graham; and paternal grandfather, Pete Flaherty. Family and friends will be received Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 3-6 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). A Graveside Service will be held Monday, August 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2900 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.
