Michael Gonder, Sr.

Michael Shawn Gonder, Sr., 57, a lifelong resident of Claridge, died on Thurs., August 2, 2018 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville.He was born on September 17, 1960 in Wilkinsburg, to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Campbell) Gonder. He was a social member of Claridge VFD, and loved fishing, gardening, bowling, shooting pool, and spending time with the kids and grandkids.  Mike was the father of Michael Shawn Gonder, Jr., who passed away on July 31, 2018, Tiffany (Jeremy DiCenzo) and Carla (Nathan Maroney); he is also survived by grandchildren, Kyla, Kaidyn, Carleigh, Aryonna, Jase, and Luca; brothers, Frank (Linda) Gonder, Jr., Ted Gonder, Rusty (Debbie) Gonder, Jeff (Cheryl) Gonder; sisters Bonnie Gonder, Alice (Chuck) Durst, Lucy (Clyde) Bittner, Kelly (Stan) Bruno, Candy Gonder; his loving girlfriend of 10 years, Melinda Smith; and Tiki, Ginger, and Rocky, his dog, cat, and bearded dragon.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Shawn Gonder, Jr., who passed away on July 31, 2018.  Friends will be received Sunday, August 5, 2018, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721, where funeral services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018, 11:00 am.  Burial will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park.
