Mary Blazetic Obituary

Mary Catherine Blazetic, Age 76, of Penn Township, joined her beloved husband in Heaven on  November 23, 2018.  
  
She was born on July 10, 1942, in Pittsburgh, to Edward and Mary (Taylor) Schartner. She attended school at Norwin High School. Mary Catherine worked as a data entry clerk at MSA for many years. She was a dedicated mother, devoted wife, loving grandmother, and adoring sister Her hobbies included playing Bingo, playing cards, dancing, singing, family vacations in the Outer Banks, and going for drives. While she was only at William Penn Care Center for a short time, she made a huge impact on the staff and made many, many dear friends. Mary Catherine was strong of faith, and would pray for anyone that she felt was in need. She will forever be remembered for her huge heart, her enthusiastic hugs, and personal motto, "Kill 'em with kindness."


Mary is survived by her three daughters, Beth A. (David) Ratkus of Blairsville, PA, Heather F. (Jason) Korpa of Allison Park, PA, Dana M. Regec of Pittsburgh, PA; eight grandchildren, Reed Ratkus, Luke Ratkus, Adam Ratkus, Brent Ratkus, Nate Korpa, Emily Korpa, Gianna Regec, and Marina Regec; Sister, Charlene (late Sonny) Durick; sister-in-law, Caroline (late Gus) Stambolis; and brother-in-law, Kenneth (Karen) Blazetic; also survived by her nieces and nephews. 
  
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Frank Joseph Blazetic, Jr..
  
Friends will be received Monday, November 26, 2018, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City.
     
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, 11:00 am at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City, PA, with Father Michael Sikon, officiating.
  
Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies immediately following Mass.
  
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends that memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the William Penn Care Center, Attn: Activity Department, 2020 Ader Rd, Jeannette, or to Light of Life Ministries, at www.lightoflive.org to carry on Mary Catherine and Frank's legacy of charity.
