Margaret “Peggy" M. Forsyth, née Buckley, 95, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend to all, human and animal, died Friday, May 28, 2021, at Arden Courts of Monroeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Thomas G. Forsyth III. First born daughter of the late John and Marie Buckley, Peggy was the eldest sibling to three brothers, all since deceased, and one sister. As a child, Peg danced on the vaudeville era stage in Pittsburgh as “Baby Peggy Buckley," a distinction she carried into her adult life. As a young woman, Peg excelled academically, graduating from Holy Rosary Academy before attending Margaret Morrison College at Carnegie Mellon University. Up until the age of 89, Peg enjoyed a long and successful career in real estate, most recently with Berkshire Hathaway. Peggy believed in working hard and always speaking kindly and positively to others. Surviving is her sister, Mary (Buckley) Phillips; two sons, Thomas G. Forsyth IV, and Glenn T. Forsyth (Leeann); a daughter Jeanni Watson (Donald Keal); and six grandchildren, Thomas G. Forsyth V (Cassandra), Jessica Hadley (Joseph), Todd Forsyth (Nicholas Bonacci), Sean Forsyth, Alison Gutierrez (Payton) and Jordan Watson, plus many nieces and nephews. Her greatest source of delight were her two great-grandsons; Thomas “Guy” Forsyth, and Theodore “Theo" Forsyth. She joyfully anticipated the birth of her first great-granddaughter, Margaret “Maggie" Gutierrez, who was born at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville on the same day of Peggy's death. Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 10-12 PM with a Funeral Service at 12 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC.445 Beatty Road Monroeville, PA (412) 856-4747.
