Lucille D. Knechtel

Lucille  D. "Honey" Knechtel, age 91 of Monroeville, PA passed away on December 30, 2020 at home. She was born on April 26, 1929 in Bergen, NJ to the late Joseph and Margaret (Reed) Catona. She married the love of her life, Herbert "Herb" in 1951. He preceded her in death in 2015.

Loving mother of Lynn-Ann (Ed) Kelemen, Dianne (Paul) Campbell, Briant (Rose) Knechtel, Sharon (Dan) Tomasino, Mary-Ellen (Bill) Vulgris, Susan  Knechtel, Lucille (Joe) Bish, & Derek Knechtel; also survived by 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Ann Keleman, and granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Keleman.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 445 Beatty Road Monroeville, PA (412) 856-4747.  Per CDC guidelines, masks are required upon entry and only 20 people will be permitted in the visitation room at one time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at Christ The Divine Shepherd Parish at St. Bernadette Church, 245 Azalea Dr., Monroeville, PA 15146. We will meet at church. Burial will be private to family only in Good Shepherd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Divine Mercy Academy, 245 Azalea Dr., Monroeville, PA 15146, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org.
