Louis Fortini, age 102, of Turtle Creek, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his home. Beloved husband of 45 years of the late Ruth N. (Yaroszeufski) Fortini; loving father of Kathleen A. (Dennis) Stapola and Louis A. (former wife Tamara Kelley) Fortini; cherished grandfather of Kari A. (Chris) Wehr, Kristin (Zach) Snyder and Sara (Mike) Dolan; caring great-grandfather of Kensie and Colson Wehr and Spencer, Ben and Thea Dolan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Marie J. (Rinaldi) Fortini; and siblings, Dominick Fortini, Philip Fortini, Lucy Ruella, Gigi Brickler and Ruth Kraynick. Louis was a welder for the New Jersey Zinc Company before moving to Westinghouse Nuclear Research as a master welder. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, and owned a small restaurant called the "Sugar Bowl". He loved gardening, boating and was the president of the Boating Club on the Leigh River. He loved his family and always strived to keep them together. He never let his age get in the way of anything he wanted to accomplish. Friends will be received from 10-11 AM Friday at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950). The funeral home will be adhering to all CDC guidelines for the visitation and there will be a limit of 25 people at a time. We ask all visitors please respect one another with social distancing and by wearing a face covering if possible. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:30 AM at St. Colman Parish.
