Kenneth Paul Hoolahan Jr., age 77, of Monroeville passed away on September 7, 2023. Ken was the beloved husband of Betty (O’Neill) Hoolahan for 45 years, who preceded him in death less than nine months ago. Ken leaving this world is heartbreaking, but we believe he is reunited with his one true love. Throughout his healthy years, Ken was the go-to for all things that needed fixing. He was a handy man who could do anything asked of him, including building the home that he and his family lived in for over 35 years. He also worked for Westinghouse as a Nuclear Analyst for many years before his retirement. His job took him on many international trips where he would return bearing gifts for his wife and daughters. Ken loved to travel with his family and absolutely loved to play the slots. Nothing would light up his face more than the mention of a trip to the casino. He also loved watching his Pittsburgh sports teams - even the Pirates. Ken’s dry sense of humor and playful “agitating” to all he encountered will be missed most of all. Ken leaves behind so many people that love him including his children: Debbie Hoffner (Steve), Michael Ankeny (Bev), Colleen Hall (Eric) and Lauren Hoffner (Patrick); his grandchildren Ashley (Bryan) Provance, Patrick McIntyre, Andrew Hoffner, Braden Hall, Tatum Hoffner, Avery Hall and Miles Hoffner; his great-granddaughter Zoe Provance; siblings Patricia Parente (Tony, deceased), Marjorie Greif (Fred, deceased), Jane Cline (Bob), Kathy Jones (Bob), Janet Cornell (John), Raymond Hoolahan and many nieces, nephews and cherished friends and family. In addition to his wife, Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Louise Hoolahan and his brother Edward Hoolahan. Visitation will take place at JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747) on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held directly following the viewing hours and a celebration of life thereafter. www.jobefuneralhome.com.
