Julia Louise (Anderson) DiCecco, age 66, died peacefully on February 4, 2020 in Columbus OH after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer. Julia was born in Braddock, PA and lived in the Monroeville, PA area, as well as Westerville OH. She was a graduate of Gateway High School in Monroeville, PA and attended Community College of Allegheny County. She has worked as a cardiac technician and devoted her life to her husband and family. Julia was an avid gardener, animal lover, and beautiful seamstress and quilter. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret (McGuirk) and C.P. “Buck” Anderson and her uncle Matthew Anderson. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John DiCecco; daughters Kelly (Gary) Beale and Stephanie (Nicholas) Teden; five grandchildren: Bethany, Lacey, Margaret, Iliana and Juniper; and four great-grandchildren: Rory, Ozney, Nova and Chloe; and siblings Thomas (Judith) Anderson, James (Donna) Anderson, Jack (Cathy) Anderson and Madeliene (Butch) Gatlin. There will be a viewing in Westerville OH at the Hill Funeral Home on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. An additional viewing will be in Monroeville, PA at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747) on Sunday, February 9, 2020 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish at St. Bernadette Church in Monroeville, PA on Monday February 10, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF).
