John Gregory Praisner, 76, of Harrison City, died on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. He was born on April 28, 1945 in Pittsburgh, to the late John and Genevieve (Rodgers) Praisner. Known to some as either John or Greg, he was a Vietnam war Army veteran, a dedicated member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, and made lots of friends through his job at the Bureau of Disability Determination in Greensburg. John is survived by his loving daughter Christine M. Coffman and her husband, Mark; two grandchildren, Olivia Rose and Calvin F. Coffman; sister, Sandy Ragan, sister, Phyllis Praisner; his best puppy, Sky; nieces, nephews, and in-laws in the Solomon family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 34 years, Frances J. "Cookie" (Solomon) Praisner. Friends will be received on Sunday, July 11 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 12 at 11:00 AM at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Father Michael P. Sikon, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Barbara Cemetery, Claridge.
