Jeanne "AJ" (Deak) Volosin

Jeanne "AJ" (Deak) Volosin, age 86 of Monroeville, passed away on September 17, 2018.  Born July 12, 1932 in Rankin, she was the daughter of the late George and Rose (Yanovich) Deak.  She is survived by a sister, Rosemarie (Mario) Meglio; nieces and nephews, Regina Robinson, David Deak Jr., Michael Deak, Derek (Carolina) Meglio, Michelle (Matt Brennan) Deak, Patrick Deak, Brian (Cindy) Meglio, and Natalie (Chris) Carswell; great-nieces and nephews, Anthony Sonetti, Erik Meglio, Shana Meglio, Cozette Meglio, Ella Meglio, and Caleb Carswell; great-great niece, Cherie Sonetti and her beloved dog, Lizzy.  Jeanne was a certified diamontologist, went to interior design school, and was a real estate agent.  She was an avid animal lover and used to show dogs, Borzois and Whippets for 20 years.  She belonged to the Church of the Resurrection in Monroeville, and her faith was always important to her.  She was an excellent baker and cook, and was a generous person always taking the time to help others.  The family will receive friends on Monday, September 24 from 9:00 AM until the time of Liturgy at 10:00 AM in the Church of the Resurrection Byzantine Catholic, 455 Center Road, Monroeville.
