Janis L. (Africh) Shaughnessy

Age 73 of Monroeville, passed away at home on February 2, 2020. Beloved wife of Robert  Shaughnessy for 45 years. Loving mother of Kevin and Patrick Shaughnessy.  Also survived by her brother, Jim (Nancy) Africh. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Helen (Simek) Africh. Janis was a graduate of the University of Illinois where she earned her bachelor's degree. She then went on to nursing school and began her career as a registered nurse at Shadyside Hospital. Friends will be received Wednesday, February 5th from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Mother of Sorrows Church, 4202 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville, PA 15668.
