JAMES R. MARSHALL of Penn Hills, 84, son of the late Harry and Regina Marshall of the South Side. He is survived by a brother Lee (Rosemary) and a beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Lou (Clark) and three children, Rebecca Sicree (Andrew), Jessica Barbier (Steve), and Matthew (Catherina) and fifteen grandchildren, Alexander, Thomas, Teresa, Luke, Maria, Isabel, Kellie, Genevieve, Daniel, James, John, Helena, Mark, Sophia, and Teresita. He is a graduate of Connelley Vocational High School and the University of Pittsburgh. After serving as an Army officer, he spent 25 years as an engineer, primarily at Westinghouse Electric Company, where he earned nine patents. He ended his working life as a high school physics teacher at Serra Catholic High School. He was a member of the Pius XII Council # 4925 of the Knights of Columbus. After retirement, he and his wife Mary Lou worked as catechists with inmates at the Allegheny County Jail and with the Coming Home Network International.
