James C. Flaherty

James C. Flaherty, age 86, of Winter Park, FL, formerly of North Versailles, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Beloved husband of Kathleen Flaherty; loving father of Joanne Stumme, Patricia (fiancé Robert Barnes Jr.) Logo, Carol (Michael) Minnich, Barbara (John) Schuck and Mary Flaherty; loving step-father of Susan Wenrich and Kimberly (John) Smith; cherished grandfather of Thomas Stumme, Jamie Stumme, Megan D'Andrea, Christopher Logo, Stephanie Minnich, Amberly Wenrich, Matthew Wenrich, Kelly Smith, Sean Smith and Kate Smith. James is also survived by five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Louise (Pollington) Flaherty and his first wife, Alberta (Garofolo) Flaherty. James was a proud Marine, having served in the Korean War. He worked for Westinghouse Electric for over 50 years, he was a high school and college football official for many years and was a member of the EAIFO. Friends and family will be received Friday, January 22, 2021 from 2 - 8 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950). Please be advised that masks will be required for entry and visitation will be limited to 20 people at a time. A private blessing service will be held and interment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park with Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
