James J. (Jim) Cantwell
Age 73, of Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 8 2021. Fun-loving husband of Margaret (Peggy) McElligott Cantwell; caring father of Jim (Amy) Schafer and Gail Podmilsak; grandfather of AnneMarie and Logan Schafer, and Erik, Joey, and Kaylee Podmilsak;  brother of Patricia (Richard) Schultz; he was a loving brother in law, and a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews to the McElligott and Schultz families. He was preceded in death by his parents, James P. and Louise M. (Dechert) Cantwell; and brothers, Craig and Keith Cantwell. James graduated from Wilkinsburg High School and then spent his working years at various jobs including Wilkinsburg Beverage, Indiana Battery, Urgicare, Oakland Hardware, and retired as a carpenter from Shamrock Building Services. Friends will be received on Tuesday January 12, 2021 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950). Masks will be required upon entry. Funeral services will be private and interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
