James Ira Bullen, 79, passed away peacefully on Memorial Day, May 30, 2022 due to normal wear and tear, and also complications of a brain hemorrhage. Jim was a longtime resident of West Palm Beach, Florida, where he kept the lights on as an FPL service planner and later worked as a construction inspector, and a recent transplant to North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He was a loving husband, dedicated father and lifetime nature lover. In Florida, he was a enthusiastic member of the Cursillo community and Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach. In Pennsylvania, he was a member of Penn-Zion’s Lutheran Church, and a dedicated participant in the Murrysville Rock Steady Boxing program. He was preceded in death by his father James and mother Margaret. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Linda, his sister Susy, his two sons, David (Kara) and Michael, his granddaughter Claire, and nephew Jess. In Pennsylvania, visitation with the family will occur on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home (3343 Rt.130, Harrison City, PA, 15636), followed by an 11 a.m. memorial service at Penn-Zion’s Lutheran Church (3417 Rt. 130, Harrison City, PA, 15636). A private interment will follow the service. An additional memorial service will be held in Florida on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church (100 N. Palmway, Lake Worth, FL, 33460), followed by a luncheon reception.
