Gerald Francis Smith

Gerald Francis Smith, age 82 of Wilkins Township, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Born on April 19, 1939, he was the son of the late William Smith and Gladys (Hassenplug) Zayc, and the husband of Marjorie (Katalik) Smith for 61 loving years. Gerald retired from the Davis Fetch Company as a welder. He was a member of the Carpenters Union local #252, and he served loyally for many years as a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Braddock. He loved to spend his time fishing, gardening and listening to old records. Along with his wife he is survived by his children; Catherine (Randy) Glasser and Gerald (Rochelle) Smith, Jr.; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Carl (Fran) Smith. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his son, James Smith and his brother, William Smith. Friends will be received Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM  at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel.
