Gerald L. Guthrie
Age 84, of Monroeville, PA on October 12, 2017. Born November 15, 1932 in Canonsburg to Charles and Hazel (Baysinger) Guthrie. Gerald worked for U.S. Steel, retiring with 31 years of service. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 820. He enjoyed golfing, shooting pool, and BINGO.  Survived by son, Gary R. (Claudia) Guthrie, daughters, Lisa (Dan) Dressel and Janet L. Jones; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Alma Patterson and Nellie Nolle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, wife, Theresa (Tomko) Guthrie, brothers, Charles "Junie" Guthrie, Dennis Guthrie, and sister, Marlene Higgenbothem. Friends will be received from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm, on Monday, as well as Tuesday, from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am, at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747).   Entombment to follow at Restland Memorial Park.
