George Steve Rudy, Sr. age 94 of Penn Township, formerly of Rillton, died on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. He was born on April 28, 1924 in Rankin, to the late Andy and Mary (Furman) Rudy. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and had worked as a brakeman for Union Railroad. George is survived by his daughters, Maria Linda Taylor of Latrobe and Karen S. (Jim) Omlor of Richlands, NC; son, George S. (Sarah) Rudy, Jr. of Haymarket, VA; five grandchildren, William (Darla) Taylor, Christine (Michael) Thomas, Thomas Rudy, Matthew (Alyce Miele) Omlor, Daniel Omlor; six great-grandchildren, Kayla, Hannah, Emma, Harper, Lucas, and Laine; and a great-great-granddaughter, River. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Belle Rudy; second wife, Elsie I. Rudy; a grandson, Lance (surviving wife Leslie) Taylor; siblings, Mary, Anna, Helen, Barbara, Margaret, Andrew, Joseph, John, and Paul. Friends will be received Friday, Dec.14 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721, where funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday.
