George W. McCurdy

George W. McCurdy, age 83 of Turtle Creek, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at LGAR Health and Rehab Center. George was born on August 18, 1937 in Pitcairn to Cy and Christine (Long) McCurdy. George worked for Red Ball and Knerners moving companies. He enjoyed fixing watches, fishing, playing cards, racing cars, and most of all taking camping trips with his beloved, Margaret. He was also a passionate collector of various items. 

He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. McCurdy; brother, Leonard (Linda) McCurdy; brother-in-law, Christopher J. (Nancy Jean) Patchel, Sr.; nephews, Jay McCurdy and Christopher J. (Rhonda) Patchel, Jr.; nieces, Jaime McCurdy and Julia Marie Bush; great-nephew, Ryan Christopher Patchel and great-nieces, Abby Lyn Patchel and Kaitlyn Marie Bush. Preceded in death by his sister, Nellie Lehr, brother, Tom McCurdy, and nephew, Jim Lehr.

Friends will be received on Thursday, April 8, 2021, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm & 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950), where a blessing service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 10:30 am.
