Gayle Eleanor (Summ) Hunter
Age 93 of Monroeville, PA passed away on May 27, 2020. Born on April 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gayle (Heavens) Summ, and the wife of the late Richard Hunter. Gayle was very involved with the Monroeville United Methodist church, where she helped out with numerous activities, including serving with her circle friends to bake homemade apple pies for the Holiday Bazaar and helping out with landscaping. Some of her favorite hobbies included cross stitching, bowling, and traveling with her husband. She is survived by her children, Susan (Roger) Scarlett and Stephen Hunter; grandchildren, Katie (Mark) Davison, Dan (Grace) Scarlett, Josh Scarlett, David Scarlett; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Caroline and Madeline Davison; Sister, Miriam (Bob) Cassidy; nieces Nancy Batchelder, Linda Fitchwell, Patty Dapra, Janet Thullberry and nephew, John Hunter. Due to covid-19 restrictions, services for Gayle will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Interment will be at Plum Creek Cemetery.
