Elton C. "Sonny" Barton

Elton C. "Sonny" Barton, 88, of Harrison City, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Born on November 10, 1934, he was the son of the late Elton and Mildred (Kistler) Barton. Sonny served our country with the United States Air Force, and then spent his working years at Westinghouse in Manor. He was a member of the American Legion Post #260 in Claridge, as well as a lifetime member of the Harrison City Fire Department and loved to spend his time either at the golf course or gardening. He is survived by the love of his life, Norma Barton; his children, Kevin (Corbin) Barton, Kimberly (Richard) Pierce, Kelly (Paul) Urban, Kris Barton, and Kurt (Barbara) Barton; grandchildren Kelsey and James Barton; and great-grandchild, Mason. Along with his parents he is preceded in death, by his daughter, Cheryl Barton, and sisters Nelda Jenkins and Rita Bigler. Friends will be received Wednesday, November 1, 2023, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, 10:00 am at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Harrison City. Burial will be at Twin Valley Memorial Park.
