Elizabeth L. (Gaertner) Bache

Elizabeth L. (Gaertner) Bache, 82, of Penn Township, passed away in her home on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. She was born on October 1, 1938 in Pittsburgh, to the late William and Alma (Heimbuecher) Gaertner. Betty was a Westinghouse retiree and had been a secretary for many years. She was a member of the partner parishes of St. Mary and St John Baptist de la Salle, and had been a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church when she had lived in North Huntingdon. She enjoyed being a member of Young at Heart. Betty is survived by her husband of 22 years, William G. Bache; three children, Craig (Elaine) Burda, Christine (Bruce) Wise, and David (Kelly) Burda; two step-daughters, Lisa (David) Bossar and Lynn (Rick) Caroline; a brother, Richard (Nancy) Gaertner; 13 grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin N. Burda; and a brother, John William (Hannah) Gaertner. Friends will be received Thursday, June 3 from 6-8 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 4 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Export, with Fr. Daniel Ulishney, officiating.
