Edward D. Roney

Edward D. Roney, age 76, of Level Green, passed away in his home on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. He was born on January 21, 1945 in Wilkinsburg, to the late A. Olen and Vera (Ferry) Roney. Bud, as he was known to many, served honorably in the US Air Force in Germany during the Vietnam era. He retired as a machinist from Hammil Manufacturing, and spent his retirement years gardening, tinkering, and golfing in two leagues at Manor Valley Golf Course. Bud loved his wife, children and grandchildren, his dogs, and his 1931 Model-A Ford. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Evanchak) Roney; two daughters, Julie (husband Shawn) Weaver and Carol (husband Dr. Robert Zimmerman) Roney; three grandchildren Corey Weaver and Melissa and James Shirer; and siblings Sylvia Liebdzinski, Bonnie Hauck, Timothy Roney, L. Richard Roney, Mary Kay Hopkinson, and their spouses and families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Arlynne Bossar. Friends will be received for a memorial visitation on Saturday, June 5 from Noon until 2 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721.
