Dorothy Louise (Huebner) Sullivan, age 82 of Plum, formerly of Peoria and South Roxana, IL, died on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at The Grove at Irwin.
She was born on July 20, 1938 in Alton, IL, and was raised by her parents, the late Walter and Edna (Poag) Huebner, in South Roxana. Nursing was her calling, and she practiced as a Registered Nurse for her entire working career. Dorothy was a devoted Catholic, and sung in both the Our Lady of Joy and St. Bernadette church choirs. She was the matriarch of the Sullivan family, and will be missed by her family whom she dearly loved.
Dorothy is survived by four loving children, Thomas (wife Tammy) Sullivan Jr., Catherine (husband Dirk) Troxell, Joseph (wife Kristin) Sullivan, and Theresa Oto; and nine grandchildren, Samantha, Andrew, Brian, Nicholas, Nathan, Sydney, Lakyn, Dominic, and Gionna.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Sullivan, Sr.; an infant son, Ronald Allen Sullivan; and her brother, Robert Eugene Huebner.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11 am at Holy Family Parish, Our Lady of Joy Church, 2000 O'Block Road, Plum, PA 15239. Everyone please meet at church for mass. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
