Dorothy Pugliano Obituary

Pugliano (Miholovich), Dorothy, 90, of Monroeville, Pa. passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Dorothy was born August 19, 1930 in Level Green to the late Peter and Mildred (Evanovich) Miholovich  of Monroeville. 

After high school graduation, she went on to become a beautician.  She loved to cook and hosted many family holiday dinners. She put family and church above all other things. She was a staple in the food service industry having worked at the Holiday Inn, Parkway Tavern, Naples Station and Pugliano’s Restaurant.  She was working at the Parkway Tavern the day when Vice-President Quayle visited. Dorothy was a devoted and loving wife, daughter, mother, grand-mother and sister. She assisted in taking care of her elderly parents, siblings and son, Albert (Butch).

Dorothy was a life-long member of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church of Monroeville, Pa. She was also past president of St. Petka Circle of Serbian Sisters and a member and officer of the Sons of Columbus Council #70 where she was once named Woman of the Year.   

She is survived by her loving son Gary (Kelly) of Monroeville, step grand-children Dane (Brian), Raeanna, grandsons Chad and Todd (Marita) Pugliano and great-granddaughter Jaden, all of Monroeville and sister, Catherine Mignogna of Ligonier, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years Albert J. Pugliano and son Albert J (Butch), brothers, Peter (Rade), Joseph, Eli, John and Mitchel Miholovich and sisters Angela Vracar, Mary Visnic, Diana Mireles and Mildred (Mitzi) Adams. 

Friends and family will be received at Jobe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville, Pa. 15146 (412-856-4747) on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 1-6 PM. A Pomen service will be held at 5:45. Per CDC guidelines, masks are required upon entry and only 20 people are permitted in the visitation room at one time.

The funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 1 p.m, with Father Stefan Djoric officiating. Everyone will meet at Church. Burial will be private. May her memory be eternal. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Monroeville, Pa. A celebration of life will be held at a later date due to Covid-19.
