Dorothy J. (Peceniak) Padezan, 89, of Harrison City, our precious and loving Mom, our Queen, joined our Daddy and brother in heaven on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. She was born Doris Jean "Dorothy" on New Years Day 1933 in Pittsburgh to Michael and Mary (Gergerely) Peceniak. She grew up in Wall and Level Green, and attended Penn Joint High School. Her girlfriend introduced her to her brother, our Daddy, and they were married 64 years until his passing. In high school, Dorothy worked at a print shop in Murrysville. As she raised our family, she worked at Kmart in Greensburg, then proudly became a cafeteria lady and cook for Penn Trafford School District, working until she was in her 80s. She was a member of St. Barbara Church. She loved to garden, cook, take back-road rides with our dad, and shop at Walmart. She provided us the cleanest home, the most spotless clothes, and the best home-cooked meals; and loved family gatherings most of all. Dorothy was the loving wife of the late George Padezan and cherished mother of Donna (Bill) Kelly, the late George Padezan, Jr., Darlene (Jack) Graft, and Diane (late Wes) Prailey. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, John (Lucinda Miller) Litzinger, Kimberly (Dani Jackman) Litzinger, Jaclyn (Travis) Hart, Melanie Kmetko, April (Jason) Balsomico, and Anthony (Brooklyn) Prailey; 4 great-grandchildren, Nathan and Baylee Litzinger, Summer Seanor, and Logan Balsomico; sister, Mary Ann (John) Florchak; sisters-in-law, Mary Saula, Angie Bianchi, and Pauline Petrocelli; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband, and son, Dorothy was preceded in death by sisters, Eleanor Drakulic, Joan Dedo, and Janet Divida; sisters-in-law Mildred Hazi and Ann Liptak; and brother-in-law, Milos Padezan. Friends will be received Sunday, September 18 from 2-6 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721, where a funeral liturgy will be celebrated Monday, September 19 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. We would like to thank Penn Township Police and staff at Forbes Hospital, and especially the entire staff at Transitions Healthcare, for the care and love they bestowed in her final days.
