Dolores L. (Schreiner) Iannacchione, 89, of Penn Township, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. She was born on September 9, 1932 in Altoona, to the late Leonard and Dolores (Baker) Schreiner. Dorie was a devoted wife, mother, grandma and great grandma - always loving and kind. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 65 years, Edward P. Iannacchione; loving daughter, Ruth E. (husband Jeffrey) Irwin; two grandchildren, Allen Frederick Latherow and Amanda Marie (husband Nicholas) Dransart; and great-grandchildren, Collin & Emily Dransart. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three children, Steven Paul Iannacchione, Mary Jo Latherow, and William Iannacchione. After graduating from St. Mary’s High School, Dorie attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing to obtain her registered nurse license, retiring from Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was a natural artist as a pianist, seamstress, quilter, porcelain doll maker, award winning cake decorator, oil painter, and an avid gardener.
In retirement Dorie cooked for meals on wheels of Delmont, traveled, and enjoyed her family. She was an active member of Denmark Manor Church. Her family has beautiful memories and life lessons to remember her by of her kindness, compassion, loyalty, generosity, and love.
A memorial service will be held Saturday January 22, 2022 at Denmark Manor United Church of Christ, 2003 Denmark Manor Road, Export, PA.
