Dawn M. (Kerlin) Wierzbowski, 75, of Salem Township, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Family Hospice, Pittsburgh. She was born January 2, 1947 in Braddock, PA. She was the last surviving daughter of the late Herbert and Hazel (McWilliams) Kerlin. Dawn was a registered nurse who spent her entire working career in oncology at Magee Women's Hospital. She was a member of Bushy Run American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a social member of Colton Hall where she loved playing Friday night bingo. Dawn loved Aruba. Her passion was cooking, baking, and trying new recipes, especially fantastic desserts. Dawn is survived by her beloved husband, Stanley; three loving children, Patricia (David) Morgan, Karen Wierzbowski, and Michael Wierzbowski; four cherished grandchildren, Joseph D. Morgan, Sarah Marie (Connor) Emerson, Cydney A. Wierzbowski, and Sienna M. Wierzbowski; many nieces and nephews; and her loyal canine companions, Tanner and Maggie. In addition to her parents, Dawn was preceded in death by sisters, Marcella Phillips, Hazel Yusko, Joanne Giebler, Eleanor Besterman, and Elva Bowden. Friends will be received Thursday, December 15th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721, where a blessing service will be held on Friday, December 16th at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery - Denmark Manor. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to a local animal rescue of your choice.
