David L. Holcomb, 81, of Washington Township, went home to be with his Lord Friday, Sept. 24, 2021. Dave was born April 4, 1940, in Dayton, Ohio, a son of the late George Porter and Lois D. (Orr) Holcomb. Dave was a devout Christian who was devoted to providing youth with a Christian education. He was active in the Jeannette Assembly of God, where he had been a deacon for many years. Dave also enjoyed riding his bike and traveling, and was an Air Force veteran. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Naomi M. (Jacobs) Holcomb; loving children, Shari B. Holcomb and Jeffrey D. Holcomb; brothers, George Ronald (late wife Diane) Holcomb and Richard L. Holcomb; sister-in-law, Marilyn (husband George) Benua; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Holcomb. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, and from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at BASH-NIED-JOBE FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont (724-468-8381). Interment will follow in Eastview Union Cemetery, Delmont. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westmoreland Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA 15626 .
