Charles M. Altman, 81, of Harrison City, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. He was born on February 4, 1942 in Manor, a son of the late Theodore and Neith (Digman) Altman. Charles was a US Navy veteran who was proud to say that he served aboard the USS Enterprise. He enjoyed many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and tending to his impressive vegetable garden. For many years Charles played Santa for the special needs kids of The Arc of Westmoreland, now Achieva, and the former Down Syndrome Association of Westmoreland County. He truly loved to spend time with his grandkids, family, and friends. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Barbara; two daughters, Neith (husband Kip) Good and Mindy (husband Rick) Serembo; three adored grandchildren, Colten Good, Ricky Serembo, and Autumn Serembo; brother, Robert (wife Mary) Altman; and three nieces and their families. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Altman. There will be no public services.
