Obituary
Bonnie Sue (Hunter) Gerken, 53, of Harrison City, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 15, 1969, in Pittsburgh, to Robert Hunter and the late Suzy (Kalbaugh) Hunter. Bonnie was proud to be a former Girl Scout and Girl Scout leader. She was also a former member of Murrysville/Export Rotary Club. In addition to her father, Bonnie is survived by her beloved spouse of 31 years, John Gerken; step-mother, Mary Jane Hunter; brother, Robert (Stacey) Hunter, Jr.; nephew, Jacob Hunter; niece, Emily Hunter; mother-in-law, Janet (late James) Gerken; two sister-in-laws, Cheryl (Robert) Coups and Nancy Jane (Robert) Zegar; brother-in-laws, James Leo (Mary Ann) Gerken and Brian A (Stephanie) Gerken; close cousin, Darla (Chris) Burns; Darla's daughters, Lara and Allison Burns; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Robert Michael Gerken. Friends will be received from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, Nov. 23. Entombment will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Bonnie would like to remind everyone to get a colonoscopy to catch colon cancer as early as possible.
