On January 6, 2021, Barbara A. gill of Monroeville, Pa, passed away peacefully at home. Born in 1947, she was the oldest of 5 children born to the late Robert and Elnora of Chesterfield, Va. She left behind he loving husband of 53 years, Preston L. Gill Sr., three beautiful children; Preston L. (Kate) Gill Jr., Katrina (Todd) Otlano and Benitez (Terri) Gill. She was also the prod grandmother of six grandchildren, all boys, she affectionately dubbed her "Stage Coach Gang" and also had fond nicknames for each of them. She was small, but mighty. A strong woman that loved her family and had a passion for classic soul music, the louder the better, as well as having a drink with guests. Anyone that objected to her jovial nature was promptly told "Hush, Your Fuss." A daughter, wife, mother, sister, confidant, mentor and best friend, you always knew she had your back. She was a familiar voice to loved ones who would often call, sometimes daily, just to talk. She will be truly missed by family and friends. Per her request, there will be no memorial service. Instead take a moment to reflect on and share your favorite stories and know that she would want you to celebrate her memory not with tears, but with a shot and a beer! Her family would like to thank all the caregivers, family, and friends for their support over the last few months as she enjoyed life on her own terms.
