Alfred L. Fallas, 86, of Harrison City, passed away in his home on Monday, January 2, 2023. He was born on August 19, 1936 in Greensburg, to the late Edward and Hilda (Rathgeb) Fallas. Alfred was a retiree of Westinghouse, a 58-year parishioner St. Barbara Church, and participated in Young at Heart and Meals on Wheels. He had many interests in his free time including bowling, hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, and wine making. Alfred is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Barbara; three loving children, David (Julie) Fallas, Sharon McCarthy, and Megan Collins; a special family friend, Frank Maldonado; six grandchildren, Broc Fallas, Alicia (Patrick) McChesney, Samantha McCarthy, Madison McCarthy, Destiny Collins, and Sofia Engles; three great-grandchildren, Landen, Tinley, and Garrett McChesney; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Joel; and siblings, Edward Fallas and Kathryn Sugent. Friends will be received Thursday, January 5 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 6 at 11 AM at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City, with Father Michael P. Sikon, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Barbara Cemetery, Claridge.
