Albert P. Slack, Jr., 72, of Penn Township, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 4, 1949, in Greensburg, to the late Albert and Antoinette (Spallone) Slack. Albert worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Local Union 66. He was a life member of Claridge Volunteer Fire Department, where he held the position of Chief for many years, and a member of the Italian-American Club of Export. He was an avid camper, and his main hobby was being a scrapper. Albert is survived by his beloved spouse of 48 years, Joanne (McGuire) Slack; children, Jamie (Patrick) Lentz and Albert (fiancée, Jess Vachon) Slack, III; grandchildren, Xander, Delaney and Ryker Lentz, and Lucien, Cole and Gavin Vachon; sister, Beverly (Robert) Panigal. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Thomas Slack. Per Albert's request, there will be no visitation. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life for Albert on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at a time to be announced later at the Italian-American Club in Export, 5930 Kennedy Avenue, Export, PA 15632.
