Age 82 of Penn Hills, passed away on November 4, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Lillian Marie (Young) Silvas. Loving father of Barbara Silvas Hawkins. Brother of Mary Louise (Hugh) Tobin and Joan (Robert) Bower. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Thomas worked for over 35 years as a lathe operator and machinist for ASKO, Inc. and following his retirement, worked at H&R Block for 25 years. He was a proud Boy Scout leader, and in his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, jewelry crafting with his wife, traveling in his RV, and was an avid reader and rockhound. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Gerard Majella Church. Burial will be at Plum Creek Cemetery at a later date.
