Thomas L. Shillinger

Age 86, of Stockbridge, MI, formerly of Turtle Creek, passed away on July 21, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Esther May (McElhaney) Shillinger for 59 years.  Loving father of Robert (Sharon) Shillinger, Donna (Mike) Lowman, and the late baby Leonard Shillinger. Proud grandfather of Christopher Shillinger, Katie (Aaron) Kohn, Amy (Travis) Engels, and Abigail House and great grandfather of Alyssa, Emily and Daniel Kohn and Glenn Engels. Brother of the late LaVerne “Toots”(Elden “Bud”) McElhaney, Leroy Simpson (late Anna Margret) Simpson, late brother Lloyd Simpson. Thomas served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army, was a longtime member of Hillcrest Presbyterian Church and was a proud Mason. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. corner of Shaw & Triboro Avenues, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950), where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park with Military Honors.
